Nadia Elena Comaneci

It was at the Montreal Olympic Games 1976 that she achieved one of the most memorable moments in sports history - the score of the very first perfect 10 on the bars that were asymmetrical. In addition, Comaneci had six other perfect 10s which made her 14 years young the youngest Olympic medalist in all categories. Comaneci didn't just get international attention, but she also brought Romania on the map. By achieving a feat that was unattainable her sporting legend became a legendary figure and promoted gymnastics throughout the world. People's view of female gymnasts was changed by her achievements. This was due to the impact she had in the Olympics in the same way that both moves toe-on (toes on) and release were named in her honor. These two moves have been regarded, to this day, as challenging. Apart from the Olympics she also became a star during the World Championships and European Championships. Her performance earned her the title of one of the top gymnasts ever. After her departure to the US the "Queen Of Olympics' took up modeling and promoting sports equipment.
